About
Kia ora, I'm Te.
Owner of Tū Meke Fencing Co. and a Gold Coast fencer with 6 years on the tools.
I started Tū Meke for a simple reason. I wanted every fence I build to have my name on it.
For the past 6 years I have been building fences across the Gold Coast. Timber boundaries, Colorbond runs on new estates, gates, screens and more repairs than I could count. I have worked on sloping blocks, tight side passages and long boundary runs, and I have learned what separates a fence that lasts from one that leans after the first wet season.
Running my own business means I can do the job the way I believe it should be done. I quote it myself, I build it myself, and I stand behind it. When you call, you get me. When the work starts, I am the one on site.
I keep things simple. A clear quote, a start date I stick to, a fence built properly and a site left clean. If something will cost you more than it needs to, I will tell you. If a repair will do the job, I will say so.
The name
Why Tū Meke?
Tū meke is Kiwi slang for something that is too good. It is what you want to hear when a neighbour looks over your new fence.
The red, black and white are a nod to home, and the zig zag in the logo is a fence line drawn in a single stroke. Strong, straight and built to stand up.

How I work
What you can count on.
Honest advice
If a repair will see your fence through, that is what you will be told. No upselling.
Turn up on time
When a start date is agreed, that is the day the work starts. If anything changes, you hear about it early.
Do it once
Posts set deep, lines run straight and gates hung square, so the fence does not need coming back to.
Respect the site
Your yard, your neighbours and your gardens are treated with care, and the mess goes with us.
